Project Description

The Royal Diriyah Opera House is a landmark cultural destination in the heart of Diriyah, designed to become a world-class venue for opera, theatre, music and the performing arts. Spanning approximately 46,000 m² of gross floor area, the development brings together a diverse range of performance, cultural and hospitality spaces within a distinctive architectural setting.

The project comprises a 2,000-seat opera theatre, a 450-seat adaptable theatre, a 450-seat multipurpose theatre and a 450-seat rooftop amphitheater, alongside rehearsal rooms, an exhibition hall, dressing rooms, a restaurant and staff canteen. The development also includes a loading dock, staff entrance, public facilities, parking facilities, elevators and integrated safety systems.

El Seif’s scope as Main Contractor encompasses the construction and delivery of the opera house, including the theatres, cultural and hospitality spaces, back-of-house facilities, parking, vertical transportation and safety systems.
